MYM Denmark beat Evil Geniuses to take 3rd place

Evil Geniuses from the USA were beaten by MYM and took 4th placing

Team Kingsurf has been defeated by Zenith in a tremendously exciting game, with MYM taking 3rd place. Well done to the two Asian teams for creating new waves in the Electronic Sports World Cup 2008 championships. While DotA is still lacking in popularity in Europe and the USA, unlike Counter Strike, Quake or Trackmania, it sure is picking up really fast.

Team Kingsurf were initially a little apprehensive about playing EvilG and SK. Well, the good news is aside from the match against SK, they beat EvilG. Tomorrow is their day of rest while Group B plays. For replays, check out www.eswc.com. Ks fans, the match is streamed live via WAGHHHHTV. Go to ESWC.com and you can find the links over there. Many peeps were coming up to Ks`XiaoGui to say hello and that was a super thing because even though language was a barrier, you’d see Xiao Gui and YamateH light up when a stranger approaches them to say hi. Only prob here is, besides burgers, what does a Malaysian eat?! Hmmm…
Trackmania Nations Forever Luige started his match play at 2.30pm PST. It was a challenging afternoon for Luige so he’ll be playing once again tomorrow, 26 August in the Loser’s Bracket. We’ll post more updates as we go.

Loads and loads of girls’ CS teams here. Russians ForZe were simply in top form.
